A: Before your hair waxing appointment at Beaches309, it is important to follow a few key preparation steps to ensure the best results and minimize discomfort. Make sure your hair is at least a quarter of an inch long, as this length allows the wax to grip effectively. Avoid shaving for at least two weeks prior to waxing. Exfoliate the area gently a day before your appointment to remove dead skin cells but avoid exfoliating on the day of waxing to prevent irritation. Refrain from applying lotions, oils, or creams to the skin on the day of your appointment, as these can affect wax adherence. It is also advisable to avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and heavy workouts 24 hours before waxing to reduce skin sensitivity. At Beaches309, our trained professionals prioritize your comfort and safety, so arriving with clean, dry skin helps us provide a smooth and effective waxing experience.
